Hello Everyone!
What a fun day it has been! First I took a train out to see Frederiksborg Palace. I had really been looking forward to seeing this palace, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The ceiling in the great hall is inspired by the Doge's Palace in Venice. I think the exterior of the palace is my favorite part.
I took a train back to the city and visited the Copenhagen cathedral. While it was simple, it was a very beautiful place, and very peaceful.
From there I went and walked to the top of the round tower. It is a sloped staircase, similar to the one I saw when I visited the Vatican. The top of the tower is used as an astronomical observatory, and is also a great place for a view of the city.
Since the weather was nice, I went to Nyhavn to take some photos. When you think of Copenhagen, Nyhavn is the place that comes to mind.
I spent my evening at Tivoli Gardens, one of the oldest amusement parks in the world. Disneyland is supposed to be modeled after Tivoli Gardens. Harold had so much fun! He loved getting ice cream and watching the rides, and even getting to ride his first roller coaster. Lucky for him it is one of the oldest roller coasters still running.
I didn't feel like I did much walking today, but the fitness tracker tells another story.
