Hi Everyone,
I was beyond excited to get off the ferry today, onto a bus to take me to the central station. I couldn't check into my hostel yet, so I had to leave my luggage in a locker at the train station. From there I went on a walk along the waterfront before going on a free walking tour of the city.
I'm loving the architecture here in Stockholm, and even though it's a big city, it is still a very walkable city. Harold liked this statue on our walking tour, it's the smallest statue in the city.
From there I explored the Medieval museum. The museum is built around a section of excavated ruins. They have worked hard to showcase what life in Stockholm would have been like in the 1100's-1300's, including a model street with farms and merchants and houses.
From there I took a trip up the side of a globe for some amazing views of the city. Inside the globe is Stockholm's hockey arena.
And could I really go to Sweden and not eat Swedish meatballs?
I'm making this one short, I am beyond exhausted, and I still feel like I'm on a boat. Hopefully I'll finally get a good night's rest. I haven't really had one yet, and it's getting challenging. Also, there probably won't be a post tomorrow, I'll be out late attending "Mama Mia the Party". It's a production of Mama Mia, combined with dinner theater, and Harold is super excited, just like me!
