Hello from Copenhagen!

Hello Everyone!

This morning I took a train from Stockholm to Copenhagen, and I went first class! What can I say, they lured me in with the free coffee and free breakfast, which are magic words when your train leaves at 8:20 am.

I tried blogging on the train, but had issues loading my photos, which I why I had to wait until tonight.  I'm staying at a huge and ultra modern hostel, so they have super fast WiFi.

The train crosses over one of the longest bridges in the world, it links Denmark to Sweden.  I liked that you could see the windmills the Danish have installed in the ocean.

Speaking of wind, Copenhagen is windy! Based on my experience today, I have designed the newest fitness workout...hauling 60 plus pounds of gear across cobblestone streets, against the direction of the wind.

I didn't have much time for sightseeing today, but I did manage to go to Christiansborg Palace which was truly stunning.

It may have the prettiest library I have ever seen.

Then I went on a sightseeing canal boat cruise. Halfway through I started getting soaked by the waves due to the wind, so I went into the covered section of the canal boat, and I don't have a lot of photos.

Up until then I hadn't really been cold so far on this trip, but the wind seemed to go straight through me after the canal cruise, so I decided to have an early night in at the hostel.  I'm sure I could use the rest.  Here's hoping I can actually get some decent sleep!
