Hi Everyone!
It's our first official day in Portland. We had breakfast at the hotel, and enjoyed this beautiful view from the restaurant terrace.
We drove out to see Multnomah falls, the tallest waterfall in the state at 620 feet high. Unfortunately many of the paths that lead to smaller falls around the waterfall were closed due to the Memorial day weekend. I still managed to get a few nice photos, even with the sun in my eyes.
We hiked out to a smaller waterfall called Bridal Veil falls. I don't mind hiking when there is something this beautiful to see.
We had lunch at a restaurant that is right next to a bridge named the Bridge of the Gods.
Then we went to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. Harold loved the planetarium!
There was an amazing robotics exhibit, with robots that do tricks, deal blackjack (Harold got 21!), and play soccer.
There was even a build your own robot station.
We had to go to the famous Voodoo Donuts, and pick up some donuts for breakfast tomorrow. Harold loved looking at the donuts in the rotating display case.
I managed to get some nice photos of the bridge and the river from the pier at the hotel.
