And now for something completely different

Hi everyone!
Last night I trekked across the castle green in my pajamas to take photos of the cathedral.  The night guard was rather amused at my dedication.  I think it was worth it though, I'm pleased with the photos.

Today I had breakfast in the great hall at the castle. Apparently the University students get to have breakfast there every morning, how lucky are they?

After that I went on a guided tour of the castle. There is an underground chapel that dates from the 1080's when the castle was first built. I found my twin on the castle tour, her name is Elinor and she's from Scotland.

After the castle tour I went to Durham Cathedral to add a brick to the Lego version of the cathedral. The thing is massive! I included a photo with people around it so you can get an idea of the scale. You get to add a brick to a section, and when the section is complete, it is added to the cathedral. My brick will go where the yellow card, and the Lego construction men are.

I spent the rest of the day on the train. It was packed, so I spent an hour of my journey chatting with the lady next to me. It turns out most people know where Tucson is because of the Beatles song "Get Back". Britons are curious about us Americans, and the thing they most want to know, is why Americans don't travel more, or go on holiday as they say. I've been asked that three times now.
So after seeing the iconic red phone booths everywhere, I was curious about how much use they get now that we all have cell phones. While in Edinburgh I got an answer. The phone booths are being re-purposed as ATM's.
